The F9 function key, Search, allows you to search reports for a particular word, or phrase.

When the F9 key is pressed, a pop-up menu prompts you to enter the search string. Type 1 to 4 words or a phrase enclosed in single quotes and press enter. For example:

If you supply more than one word as the search string (without quotes), the system will search for any reports that have at least one occurrence of each word.
To search for reports with a specific phrase, enclose the text string in single quotes.
If the search is successful, a list of reports will display and the search string will appear on the title bar.

The reports are listed in code order based on how many times the search string was found (hits).
To return to the full report list, press F3.
To display the detail line for the subset of reports, press the F6 key.
If the list of reports exceeds 20 lines, use the F7 and F8 keys to scroll through the list.
To perform another search within the reports displayed, press the F9 key and type another search string.
If a search is not successful, the message, 'NO REPORTS WERE FOUND' will display.

To initiate another search, type another search string and press enter.
If you receive the message 'no reports found' after performing a search within results, pressing the F3 key will return you to the first successful search.
