IPEDS

The IPEDS Online System is a database containing detailed personnel and payroll information for your faculty and staff.  The information is used to generate federal reports for the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and should be adjusted each October.  Note: This online application was formerly named Affirmative Action.

 

For complete information on the data contained in the reports and denoting the changes, refer to the document, ’IPEDS Instructions for Adjusting Reports’.

 

Note:  The data on PIMS is not corrected by changes keyed to the IPEDS online system in CIRS.   Your Personnel/Payroll office must follow normal procedures for initiating those changes.   

 

The steps for adjusting the information on the IPEDS are as follows:

1.  Print affirmative action compendium reports B40-B43.  Refer to Compendium Reports for information on accessing and printing reports.

2.  Review the reports for accuracy and note changes on B41.

3.  Key the changes noted on B41 using the IPEDS.

4.  Update compendium reports B40-B43.

 

To access the IPEDS, type a 1 at the Online Applications menu and press enter.

At the next menu, select option 1 to enter the IPEDS.

The IPEDS main menu is shown below.  Type your selection and press the enter key.  To exit the IPEDS main menu, press the F3 key.
